Overview
The Statistics Function of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host a training seminar on how to complete the "Report of Foreign Holdings of U.S. Securities, Including Selected Money Market Instruments."

Seminar Details
The seminar is designed to educate firms on the reporting requirements. The seminar assumes a familiarity with investment practices and provides a detailed discussion of U.S. securities, together with descriptions and samples of the schedules and other informational tools.

Representatives of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors will describe in detail the methodology of identifying reportable securities, as well as pertinent reporting requirements and the technical requirements for submitting the data.

Who Should Attend

  • U.S. resident custodians who hold U.S. securities for foreign residents
  • U.S. resident issuers who issue securities directly to foreign residents
  • U.S. resident central securities depositories who hold U.S. securities on behalf of foreign-resident entities

Registration Deadline
The registration deadline is Tuesday, May 31, 2005. You must register to attend the seminar. Registration for Internet viewing is also required. There is no registration fee. Please note that attending the seminar in person is limited to two individuals per institution and notification of cancellation is requested. There is no limit for Internet viewing registration.

Date and Time
The seminar will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2005 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Location
The conference will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 33 Liberty Street, 12th Floor Conference Center, New York City. Entrance to the conference center is on the 13th floor.

Seating is limited.

More Information
Light snacks will be available. There will not be a lunch break and attendees will not have access to the bank's cafeteria. The dress code is business casual.

This program is eligible for 4 CPE credits in Specialized Knowledge. Attendance is required.

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
