Rulings on Location of Depository Institutions to Facilitate Interstate Branching

Effective October 1, 1997

To All Depository Institutions and Others Concerned in the Second Federal Reserve District:

In our Circular No. 10935, dated March 27, 1997, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System requested comment on a proposal to clarify the definition of the location of a depository institution in order to facilitate interstate branching. The Board has now announced the adoption of final amendments to itsĀ Regulations D and I, and its Rules Regarding Delegation of Authority, on this matter, effective October 1, 1997.
