Consumer Advisory Council to Meet June 22, 2006

To All Depository Institutions and Others Concerned
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

The Federal Reserve Board has announced that the Consumer Advisory Council will hold its next meeting on Thursday, June 22.

The meeting will take place in Dining Room E, Terrace level, in the Board's Martin Building. The session begins at 9:00 a.m. EDT and is open to the public.

Anyone planning to attend the meeting should, for security purposes, register no later than Tuesday, June 20. Please see the attached press release or Board notice for complete details on the meeting and procedures for registration.

Time permitting, the Council will discuss the following topics:

  • assessing the impact of the rules implementing the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA),
  • issues related to the subprime mortgage market,
  • nontraditional mortgage products, and
  • issues related to the goals for and the effectiveness of financial literacy programs.
