Why the Fed?

I have a lot of pride in working for the Fed. The Fed has such a far-reaching influence on many aspects of our financial and banking industries – from setting monetary policy and making sure our banks are sound to running one of the largest payments systems in the world and engaging central bankers around the globe in international issues. The Fed does all this with the utmost of integrity and professionalism.

In addition, the Fed offers me many opportunities for personal and professional growth. I have worked in a number of different areas and in each of these positions, I have worked for really great managers who have helped me to advance my career. Through the Fed, I also have the opportunity to participate in community service, which is very important to me as well.

My Responsibilities

As the Secretary to the Subcommittee on Credit Risk Management, my main responsibilities include developing agendas for our meetings, drafting minutes and following up on action items. However, the entire portfolio of my job responsibilities extends much further. I also serve as a liaison to several System work groups and participate in strategic planning discussions.

Challenges and Rewards of My Job

The daily challenge of my job is developing new and better ways of accomplishing our goals. In many respects we are charting new ground in our approach, and this is both exciting and challenging. The biggest reward of my job is seeing our new ideas in action!

How Is the Fed Unique?
The Fed is unique in that it has so many diverse areas that work together to achieve our common goals. It is successful by promoting an environment of inclusiveness and collaboration.
