Community development finance

Maria Carmelita Recto is a community development specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Her work focuses on conducting analysis and developing programming on issues related to community development finance, meaningful access to broadband, and household financial well-being.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Recto was an economic education associate where she managed several of the Bank’s programs focused on educating the public about the Federal Reserve's role in setting monetary policy and promoting financial stability.

Before joining the Bank in 2012, she worked at Deutsche Bank Group as a valuations analyst for the Asia Pacific region. Ms. Recto earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
