This conference brings together a variety of experts to explore the implications of an aging population for local communities in upstate New York. The key questions to be addressed include:

How are the demographics of upstate New York changing and what forces are driving these changes?
What are the characteristics of aging baby boomers and how are they likely to influence the demand for locally provided goods and services?
How will aging baby boomers impact the way communities look and function?
What challenges and opportunities will an aging population present for the region’s local governments, nonprofits and businesses?
How should communities prepare for their graying demographics?

Audience
This conference is intended for professionals working in government, business, planning and design, health and social services, real estate, research, as well as community-based organizations, nonprofits and foundations.
