New York Fed President to Visit Brooklyn March 7

NEW YORK—On March 7, Federal Reserve Bank of New York President William C. Dudley will visit Brooklyn to meet with community and business leaders to discuss the economy and conditions in the borough.  He is also scheduled to deliver a speech on the national and regional economy at Brooklyn College.

President Dudley will tour the Brooklyn Army Terminal to learn about recent economic development initiatives and speak with members of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce about the local business climate.  He is also expected to meet with staff at Community Solutions in Brownsville to better understand the challenges confronting low-income Brooklyn residents.  Additionally, President Dudley will visit the headquarters of Etsy, a growing e-commerce company specializing in handmade and vintage items. 

This visit is part of the New York Fed’s continuing efforts to better assess the regional economy and understand issues and concerns in the Second Federal Reserve District.  This will be President Dudley’s second visit to Brooklyn.
