NEW YORK FED NAMES NEW SVP AUTOMATION SERVICES
NEW YORK – Michael Yorke has been named senior vice president in the automation and systems services group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, it was announced today.
Mr. Yorke will be responsible for electronic security, information technology and network and data center operations. He also will have responsibility for systems development, strategic analysis and technology training functions.
Mr. Yorke had been vice president and director of Citibanking systems and technology for Citibank North America, responsible for managing the technology, systems and staff used to support Citibank’s North American consumer banking business.
He began his career at Citibank in 1986 as vice president of global banking systems in the international division of Citibank’s Global Consumer Bank. From 1995 to 1997 he was vice president of systems development for Citibank’s U.S. Retail Bank.
Mr. Yorke worked at American Express from 1976 to 1985, where he was division vice president, systems and operations for the Asia, Pacific, Australia division. He was based in the division’s Hong Kong and Singapore headquarters from 1980 through 1985.
Prior to joining American Express, Mr. Yorke worked for International Computers (USA) Ltd. in New York and for the (British) Automobile Association in London.
Mr. Yorke served as a member of the Royal Corps of Signals of the British Army from 1962 to 1973.
Mr. Yorke is married with two children and lives in Port Washington, Long Island.
