New York Fed Names New Senior Vice President in Bank Supervision

New York—Marc R. Saidenberg has been named a senior vice president in the Bank Supervision Group. He will head the financial sector policy & analysis function. Mr. Saidenberg’s appointment was made by the Bank’s board of directors and is effective November 2008.

Most recently, Mr. Saidenberg worked for Merrill Lynch and Company where he served as a managing director.

He was previously employed at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York beginning his career in the Research and Statistics Group in September 1995 as an economist. In December 2000, he was appointed an officer of the New York Fed and assigned to the economic capital competency center and in December 2001 was promoted to assistant vice president. He was assigned to credit risk in the risk management function in December 2003. In January 2004, Mr. Saidenberg was assigned to the large complex banking organizations relationship management department and was promoted to vice president in July 2004. Mr. Saidenberg left the Bank to work for Merrill Lynch in November 2005.

Mr. Saidenberg holds a B.A. degree from Vassar College and a Ph.D. degree from University of California.
