Check 21 Legal Issues Seminars
November 3rd and 9th, 2004
 

Overview
Chief Executive Officers and Chief Operations Officers at Financial Institutions in the Second District and their legal counsel are invited to attend a seminar hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York regarding legal issues relating to the Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act (Check 21). We will be holding seminars in Syracuse, NY and New York City, with the option for those from Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands to participate via telephone conference.

Federal Reserve representatives will be on hand at these half-day seminars, which will include:

  • A brief discussion of the Check 21 business case and a product approach
  • An overview of Check 21 legal issues presented by a member of the New York Fed's legal staff
  • A question and answer session
Who Should Attend
The Check 21 sessions will be geared to top bank management and in-house and outside bank counsel.
Registration Deadline
Please register at least two weeks prior to the seminar date. Seating is limited.

Dates and Times
The seminars will be held from 9 a.m. to noon (ET) on November 3 in Syracuse, NY at the Embassy Suites Hotel, and on November 9 at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's head office, 12th Floor Conference Center.

The dress code is business casual. A continental breakfast will be available before the seminar begins. The seminar is free.
