In the Shoes of a Fed Policy Maker In the Shoes of a Fed Policy Maker - Seminar for Educators
August 17-20, 2004
 

Overview
The Public Information Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host a four-day seminar for Economics and Social Studies teachers. Federal Reserve specialists and Wall Street professionals will conduct briefings about the current economic situation and on-going issues related to monetary policy. Ultimately, seminar participants, playing the role of Federal Reserve governors and bank presidents, will conduct their own Federal Open Market Committee meeting, recommending a course for U.S. monetary policy.

Free materials will be distributed. Participants are eligible for New York City, State, and New Jersey staff development credits.

Registration Information
The seminar will be held on Tuesday, August 17 through Friday, August 20, 2004 at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 33 Liberty Street (10th Floor Northwest Conference Room), New York, New York, from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Who Should Attend
Teachers from schools in the Second Federal Reserve District (New York State, Northern and Central New Jersey - Monmouth County and north, and Fairfield County, Connecticut)
Registration Deadline
The registration deadline is Tuesday, June 15, 2004. Only the first 25 registrants will be accepted.

There is no cost. Breakfast and lunch will provided free of charge.
