Tips for Searching FRBNY Research Publications

The search covers all issues of the Economic Policy Review, Current Issues in Economics and Finance, Second District Highlights, and Staff Reports.

You have three ways to do a search:

  1. By KEY WORD, PHRASE or AUTHOR NAME. Type in a word, phrase or author name and hit the "Go" button. This simple search is not case-sensitive and does not use parentheses, quotation marks, or the basic Boolean operators (AND, NOT, OR).
  2. By JEL CLASSIFICATION. Choose via the pull-down menu to see all articles within a particular JEL classification.
  3. By BROAD SUBJECT CATEGORY. Choose via the pull-down menu to see all articles that fall within one of five broad subject categories.
When your search results are presented, click on the title of an article to read the abstract. From the abstract page you can download the full-text PDF. Note that the full text of some Staff Reports is not available.

Before you begin your search, you can check the "Show Abstract" box to the right of the search option you've selected. The presentation of your search results will include full abstracts of all articles.

If you are not searching for something specific but just want to browse through the publications, click on the name of a publication in the image box located above the search options. This will take you to the home page of that publication. From there, you can choose which year to browse by using the pull-down menu.
