New York Area Workshop on Monetary Policy
May 2, 2008

Following three years of successful meetings, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York is sponsoring the spring 2008 meeting of the Monetary Policy Workshop, open to all researchers from the greater New York area.

Overview
The purpose of the workshop is to bring together academics and other researchers in the field of monetary economics to discuss a wide range of issues relevant to the conduct of monetary policy. Participants are encouraged to present both theoretical and empirical work.

The workshop will run from 9:00 a.m. to about 5:00 p.m. There will be four to five papers on the program, each with a discussant. Lunch and coffee breaks will provide time for informal discussion among participants.

If you have a paper that you would like to present, please forward an electronic copy to our administrative assistant, Rose (rose.carofalo@ny.frb.org), and to one of the two organizers (argia.sbordone@ny.frb.org or gauti.eggertsson@ny.frb.org).
