Jonathan McCarthy is a Research Officer in the Macroeconomic and Monetary Studies Function of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He has written papers on a number of empirical macroeconomic topics, some of which have appeared recently in the Bank's Economic Policy Review and Current Issues publications as well as in academic journals. His recent research has examined various aspects of business fixed investment, housing, and inventories.
