New York Fed to Host 2023 Governance and Culture Reform Conference on June 20

June 09, 2023

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Governance and Culture Reform initiative (“Culture initiative") will host an in-person conference on culture and behavior in the financial services industry on Tuesday, June 20. The program will cover what motivates behavior and norms, and how to foster a learning culture within organizations, among other topics. The 2023 event builds on previous conferences held in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and past webinar and podcast series on culture.

The Culture initiative is designed to foster discussion about corporate governance and the reform of culture and behavior in the financial services industry. The initiative examines how formal organizational structures and underlying drivers of individual and group behaviors impact outcomes at financial firms.

This conference will feature organizational culture experts and leaders from various industries and government, as well as a moderated discussion with New York Fed President John Williams and Federal Reserve Board of Governors Vice Chair for Supervision Michael Barr.

This event is open to media and all remarks are on the record. For the full agenda and additional details, see the event page.
