The Foreign Exchange Committee is a select group of individuals who have achieved stature within both their own institutions and the marketplace.

In joining the group, members commit to apply their individual and institutional expertise and experience toward the common effort of improving market functioning and efficiency. Committee membership is based on each individual's caliber, position and recognition in the marketplace, as well as the role of the individual's institution in the foreign exchange arena.

The Committee's effectiveness is a function of its institutional composition, and membership decisions are guided by the principle that the group reflects the overall organization of the market.
