Inviting Comments, Due May 29, on Comprehensive Review

To All Depository Institutions and Others Concerned in the Second Federal Reserve District:

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has requested comment on a comprehensive review of two of its consumer protection regulations - Regulation B, Equal Credit Opportunity, and Regulation C, Home Mortgage Disclosure.

Under the Board's Regulatory Planning and Review Program, the review will seek to reduce the regulatory burden and to clarify, simplify, and update both regulations.

A copy of Part V of the Federal Register of March 12 containing the Board's official notices is available as a file (pdf - 35kb). Comments should be submitted to the Board, as specified in the notices, by May 29, 1998.
