Why the Fed?

I was intrigued by the mission of the Fed and the role it plays in the economic soundness of the United States and the world.

My Responsibilities

I provide high-level administrative and project support for the Human Resources Analytics and Information Systems team, the Diversity and Inclusion Office and the Benefits and Compensation team.

Challenges and Rewards of My Job

The greatest challenge of my position is keeping up with the daily issues that require my attention and the unpredictability of the day. I am constantly challenged to find ways to improve processes to enable me to be more efficient. Working in Human Resources has been an awesome experience. I have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of people who are encouraging and willing to share their knowledge and experience. We are such an efficient group; I am amazed at how much we accomplish and how integral we are to the organization. A rewarding aspect of my job is the opportunity to interact with people from different divisions and to work with a team that fully trusts my skills and judgment.

How Is the Fed Unique?

The Fed encourages all employees to take their career into their own hands and seek relevant opportunities. Since our culture is comprised of a mix of academia, markets, policy and operations, this allows boundless opportunities for professional growth. Employees are also encouraged to take advantage of the various training programs offered. The Fed encourages and supports work-life balance, which allows me to not only enjoy the things I do here but also enjoy life outside of work.
