Javier Silva

Javier Silva focuses on outreach and analysis related to community and economic development issues. Current projects include developing asset building strategies to promote economic development in Puerto Rico. Javier joined the Office of Regional and Community Affairs as a community affairs analyst in February, 2006.

Prior to joining the Bank, Javier held research positions at Demos: A Network for Ideas and Action in New York and at the Corporation for Enterprise Development in Washington, D.C. Javier has also worked at La Fondita de Jesus in Santurce, a not-for-profit in Puerto Rico, where he provided direct services to the community.

Javier graduated from Georgetown University with a master’s degree in public policy. He completed his undergraduate studies in political science at Western Connecticut State University.
