New York Fed Names Lee Alexander Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the Technology Services Group

NEW YORK – The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has named Lee Alexander executive vice president, head of the Technology Services Group (TSG), and chief information officer effective immediately. He also will serve on the Bank’s Management Committee. The appointment was made by the Bank’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Alexander, senior vice president for Application Development, has been acting head of TSG since late August. As head of TSG, he will continue to be a leader within the Bank and across the Federal Reserve System in linking the evolution of the national and local information technology strategies to meet the needs of the New York Fed.

William C. Dudley, president and chief executive officer the New York Fed, said, “Lee has developed an excellent reputation for his thoughtful and collaborative leadership style. I appreciate the contributions he has made to the Bank and the Federal Reserve System through his work and leadership of the Application Development Leadership Team, and I look forward to working with him and building on his past success.”

Mr. Alexander joined the Bank in 2012 to lead the application development work within TSG. He has more than 25 years of international management and development experience with premier firms in the technology and financial services industry including Oracle and AXA Equitable.

Mr. Alexander holds a B.Sc. majoring in Computing Science and an M.B.A. from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
