Overview
The Statistics Function will host a seminar to train reporters how to correctly complete the Report of Foreign Holdings of U.S. Securities, Including Selected Money Market Instruments (SHLA) and Report of U.S. Ownership of Foreign Securities, Including Selected Money Market Instruments (SHCA). This seminar is designed to provide an understanding and overview of the reporting requirements, changes, and best practices. Information on the new electronic filing requirements through the Reporting Central platform will also be provided in this seminar.

  • What must be reported: schedules 1, 2, 3 for SHCA, and schedules 1, 2 for SHLA

Bank holding companies, brokers and dealers, commercial banks, financial institutions, U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks

Reporting Dates
Report data as of December 31, 2014 for SHCA. SHCA data should be submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York no later than the first Friday of March 2015.
Report data as of June 30, 2015 for SHLA. SHLA data should be submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York no later than the last Friday of August 2015.
