Giacomo De Giorgi joined the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a senior economist in September 2014. He is also an affiliate at the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD), a research fellow at the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), and an Associate Editor at the Journal of the European Economic Association. Dr. De Giorgi research interests are in applied microeconomics, development economics, education and labor economics. Prior to joining the Bank, he was a Research Professor of Economics at ICREA/MOVE, the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, and the UAB, prior to that he was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Stanford University. He held visiting positions at UC-Berkeley, and as the Wesley-Mitchell Research professor at Columbia University. Dr. De Giorgi has a PhD from the University College London.
