Davide Melcangi is a research economist in Labor and Product Market Studies within the Monetary Policy Research Division. Davide’s recent work focuses on investigating the link between firm-level financial frictions and employment decisions, and how it matters for the evolution of macroeconomic variables. His research interests also include corporate savings decisions, firm dynamics under imperfect information, and the importance of household and firm heterogeneity for the transmission of aggregate shocks, such as monetary policy shocks. He earned his PhD from University College London, MSc and BSc in economics from Bocconi University.
