Fields of Interest Marisa Casellas-Barnes is Director of Strategic Operations for the Community Development unit at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Marisa provides operational leadership, coordinates the unit’s matrix structure, prioritizes and manages the unit’s portfolio of work and allocates resources across projects. Marisa contributes to the team’s climate and health equity portfolios and recently launched a body of work focused on maternal and child health. Marisa has served as a member of the Bank’s Outreach & Education function since 2014, contributing to the economic inequality workstream with the Research Group, Community Engagement initiatives in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands; and Economic Education programming. Prior to joining the Bank, Marisa worked in corporate philanthropy at JPMorgan Chase where she supported its workforce development initiatives. Marisa also worked at the Hispanic Federation where she spearheaded programming on energy efficiency and Latinx small businesses. Marisa earned her MPA in international policy from New York University’s Robert F. Wager School of Public Service and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. |
