Fatih Karahan is a senior economist in the Microeconomic Studies Function. His research lies primarily at the intersection of labor economics and macroeconomics. His recent work studies the macroeconomic effects of labor market policies, labor market effects of demographic changes, the nature of idiosyncratic labor income risk, and the pass-through of wage shocks into prices. Mr. Karahan holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Bogazici University in Istanbul.
