The Integrated Policy Analysis Group is designed to enhance the Bank’s capacity to develop a more comprehensive and integrated view of the global economic and financial environment, in order to help inform and strengthen decision-making across the Bank’s monetary, supervisory and payments policy responsibilities as part of the Federal Reserve System. The Group is organized into four functions:

Core Analysis
  • Provides integrated analytical coverage of global financial markets and economies, global and domestic financial intermediaries, and, pending review and assessment already in process, payment, clearing and settlement systems and financial market infrastructures.
Assessments
  • Produces analysis to evaluate (i) how current economic and financial conditions are evolving relative to measures of the Fed’s macroeconomic, macro-prudential and micro-prudential objectives, (ii) the nature and extent of potential threats to the Fed’s objectives, and (iii) potential options for deploying policy tools to most effectively achieve its objectives, including identification of near-term trade-offs across objectives.
International Affairs and Strategy
  • Provides a framework for the Bank’s international profile by coordinating across groups in support of all Bank objectives.
Infrastructure and Operations
  • Works with providers across the Bank to ensure support of the work and processes flow essential to the Integrated Policy Group and the Groups it serves.
