Anne F. Baum is a senior vice president and head of Central Bank and International Account Services in the Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and has held that role since 2016.
Ms. Baum has held various management positions within the Bank’s Markets and Financial Services Groups since joining the New York Fed in 1984. Prior to her current position, Ms. Baum served as the Markets Group’s shared services function head, which included in 2008-2009 directing the Commercial Paper Funding Facility and Money Market Investor Funding Facility.
In prior Markets Group roles, Ms. Baum supported the provision of fiscal agent services to the U.S. Treasury, including as Federal Reserve lead for a project to replace the Treasury’s auction application and infrastructure from 2006-2008, and leadership of the New York Fed’s Treasury Auction business from 1997-2006. Earlier assignments in the Financial Services Group included management roles in the Group’s retail Treasury securities operations, Electronic Payments Function, and Group Strategic Planning Support Staff. Ms. Baum is the executive sponsor for the New York Fed’s Working Families employee resource network.
Prior to joining the New York Fed, Ms. Baum was an analyst at the U.S. Treasury Department. She holds a bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University and an MPA from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
