Why the Fed?

For me personally, it is with great pride that I work at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, which is located in the greatest city on earth. My Responsibilities

I am part of the Executive Support Services group, and as such, my main responsibility is being a technology liaison to the senior officers of the Bank. Our team supports the vast array of technology employed at the Bank which assists these officers in the execution of their critical daily business. This support includes desktop support, research of new tools and technology, training, and contingency planning/implementation among other things.

Challenges and Rewards of My Job

Our challenge is to provide the best possible working environment for our clients so that the technology tools provided by Federal Reserve System enhance productivity rather than hinder it. It is a reward on its own to help senior management conduct business that impacts the Federal Reserve System, the country and the entire financial world. I am very proud to be a part of ESS here at Fed.
How Is the Fed Unique?
I find the Fed to have a deeper commitment to its employees than most private institutions where I have worked in the past. With all the perks—subsidized meals, gym, benefits, clinic—it’s like being home away from home.
