This conference addressed recent demographic changes in major cities worldwide and the impact these shifts have had on urban housing policies. Panelists from the United States, Europe, and Australia provided insight and commentary on strategies for developing affordable housing in competitive markets and for identifying new land use opportunities for future growth.

Sponsored by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy at New York University.
