Regional Economic Press Briefing on Household Debt and Economic Activity: Current Trends

Overview
Members of the media who cover the Federal Reserve's Second District (New York) are invited to attend a briefing by New York Fed regional research economists on "Household Debt and Regional Economic Activity: Current Trends in the Nation and the District," as part of the New York Fed's Quarterly Regional Economic Press Briefing Series.

The results of the Quarterly Household Debt and Credit Report for the fourth quarter of 2010 will also be released at the briefing.

A staff panel will present and answers questions about the economic and trend analysis for Downstate New York (including New York City, Long Island; Fairfield County, Connecticut; and surrounding areas), Upstate New York (including Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Rochester, Binghamton and Utica) and Northern New Jersey.

President William C. Dudley is expected to offer remarks and answer questions from the audience. Text is expected. Briefing materials will be posted online.

Media must register by 5 p.m. EST on Friday, February 11 and bring valid photo identification for entry. (Closed to the public).
