Regional Economic Press Briefing on Job Creation in the Region

Overview
Members of the media who cover the Federal Reserve’s Second District are invited to attend a briefing by New York Fed regional research economists on “Job Creation in the Region,” as part of the New York Fed’s Quarterly Regional Economic Press Briefing series.

A staff panel will present and answer questions about the economic conditions and job creation for Downstate New York (including New York City and Long Island), Fairfield County, Connecticut and surrounding areas; Upstate New York (including Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Rochester and Binghamton), northern New Jersey and Puerto Rico.

President William C. Dudley is expected to offer remarks and answer questions concerning regional economic conditions. Text is expected. Briefing materials will be posted online.

Audience
Limited to members of the media who cover the Federal Reserve’s Second District (New York) and other reporters by invitation.

Media must register by 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, and bring valid photo identification for entry. (Closed to the public).
