for the Second District
At this conference, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York is releasing its Household Debt and Credit Report for the Second District. This report focuses on New York, New Jersey and Connecticut as well as New York City. It provides a snapshot of household trends in borrowing and indebtedness, including data about mortgages, student loans, credit cards, auto loans, home equity lines of credit (HELOC) and delinquencies.
The community development divisions of the Federal Reserve Banks of New York and Philadelphia and Rutgers University are organizing this forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss various topics related to credit access and consumer debt, with a particular focus on how households in New Jersey are faring. Speakers will share the latest research and emerging strategies for consumers to improve their balance sheets, repair credit, and gain access to mainstream financial products.
