Forum on Impact Investing in Puerto Rico

October 6, 2016

The New York Fed, the U. S. Commerce Department’s Minority Business Development Agency, and the Puerto Rico Bankers Association will host a forum on impact investing as part of a weeklong event, CRA Week (Semana CRA in Spanish), which focuses on reinvesting in Puerto Rico and bolstering the Island’s economy. Impact investing aims to make a positive impact through investing—it fulfills the dual goals of addressing social or environmental challenges while also achieving financial gains.

The New York Fed has participated in CRA Week for several years. The New York Fed has stayed closely engaged on economic conditions on the Island, and this conversation will bring together government officials, foundation representatives, bankers, investment professionals, economic development and community leaders to advance efforts to restore growth and prosperity on the Island.
