The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and other regional Fed banks, hosted a hybrid summit, “Housing Affordability 2026: A Community Development Summit.” The event took place Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Chicago.
The event was an opportunity for community leaders and Fed community development experts nationwide to share insights, analysis, and tools on this vital topic. This event was of interest to leaders in community development, housing development, finance, and philanthropy.
The summit was co-sponsored by the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Kansas City, Minneapolis, New York, Richmond and San Francisco, and by Fed Communities, the digital platform designed to elevate the Fed’s work in community development.
