New York Fed President Dudley to Visit Connecticut April 8

NEW YORK—Federal Reserve Bank of New York President William Dudley will travel to Connecticut on Friday, April 8 to meet with local business and community leaders, and to speak about economic conditions. 

President Dudley will begin the day-long visit with a speech on the regional and national economy at the University of Bridgeport.  He will also take questions from students, faculty, and community members in attendance.       

Afterwards, he is expected to travel to The Workplace, an organization focused on workforce development efforts.  There, he will meet with WorkPlace’s leadership, as well as current and past program participants.  He will also tour a mobile classroom run by the American Job Center, a partnership of organizations providing workforce assistance to job seekers and businesses.

Later in the day, President Dudley will meet with members of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council to hear about economic development and challenges in the Greater Bridgeport area.  Finally, he will meet with leadership from the Housing Development Fund, New Horizons, and NeighborWorks America to discuss the state of housing affordability and community development projects in Fairfield County and the nation.
