New York Fed to Publish Weekly Nowcast of GDP Growth Beginning April 15

April 12, 2016

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will begin publishing a weekly look at U.S. economic growth starting Friday, April 15. From manufacturing to income to international trade, the FRBNY Staff Nowcast translates the real-time macroeconomic data flow into an estimate for current GDP growth. This summary statistic serves as another data point in the policymaking toolbox.

The FRBNY Staff Nowcast will appear on the New York Fed website at 10:30 AM this Friday. The data will be updated each Friday going forward at 11:15 AM, with the exception of those Fridays that occur during the FOMC blackout period.
