New York Fed President Dudley to Visit New York State’s North Country Region on June 19-20

NEW YORK—Federal Reserve Bank of New York President William C. Dudley will visit Plattsburgh, Potsdam, and Watertown in the North Country region of New York State on June 19 and 20 to meet with leaders in business, education, and government.

On June 19, President Dudley will meet with local business leaders at a roundtable breakfast meeting in Plattsburgh. He will then visit the local manufacturing facilities of Nova Bus and Bombardier before taking part in a lunch meeting to discuss rural community development.

From Plattsburgh, President Dudley will travel to Potsdam for meetings on June 19 and 20 to discuss the role of higher education in the region and the importance of broadband internet access. The final stop on June 20 will be Fort Drum, in Jefferson Country near Watertown, where he will meet with leaders from the military installation and members of the Watertown Chamber of Commerce.

The two-day trip, which serves to inform President Dudley on local issues, is part of the New York Fed’s ongoing effort to assess economic conditions in New York State and the broader Second District.
