On May 17, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host an economic press briefing examining trends in home prices, homeownership, housing wealth, and equity extraction. Beverly Hirtle, executive vice president and director of Research, will provide opening remarks and will join a panel of New York Fed economists to answer questions after the presentation.
In conjunction with the briefing, the New York Fed will release its Q1 2018 Household Debt and Credit Report, which provides insight into household trends in borrowing and indebtedness, including data about mortgages, student loans, credit cards and auto loans.
This event will be open to journalists to attend in-person. It will also be available via webcast for registered participants.
