Jonathan Kivell is the Director of Community Investments in the Outreach and Education group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In this role, he works with financial institutions, government agencies, and for-profit and non-profit organizations on emerging issues in the community development finance field. He also leads the group's Household Financial Well-being team, which conducts outreach, holds convenings, and writes policy papers on challenges faced by low- and moderate-income families and communities. Prior to joining the bank, he was a Director in the Financial Services Group of Piper Sandler, where he held roles in the Real Estate Investment Banking and Loan Strategies Groups. Before joining Piper Sandler, Kivell worked in sales and credit risk at Commerce Street Capital and Citigroup, respectively. Kivell serves as a board member of Praxis Housing Initiatives, a non-profit provider of supportive housing for homeless and formerly homeless individuals and families in New York City. He received a Master's in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a BS cum laude from Cornell University. |
