Martín (Tincho) Almuzara is a research economist in Macroeconomic and Monetary Studies within the Monetary Policy Research Division. His research focuses on latent variable models for time series and panel data, with particular applications to business cycle analysis and distributional macroeconomic questions. His current work includes research on overdifferencing and on the formulation of long-run restrictions in economic time series. In addition, he conducts research on the identification and estimation of flexible panel data models of income risk and consumption responses. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from CEMFI and a Bachelor in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina).
