Matteo Crosignani is a financial research advisor in Non-Bank Financial Institution Studies within the Financial Intermediation Policy Research Division. His research largely focuses on financial intermediation, macroeconomics, and monetary policy transmission. His articles have been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Journal of Monetary Economics. His research was awarded the ECB Young Economist Award and the Macro Financial Modeling Group (Becker Friedman Institute) Dissertation Fellowship. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Crosignani was an economist at the Federal Reserve Board and an assistant professor at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. He received a BSc from Bocconi, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a Ph.D. from NYU Stern School of Business.
