Richard Audoly is a research economist in Labor and Product Market Studies within the Monetary Policy Research Division. He joined the New York Fed in 2022 and monitors the evolution of the U.S. labor market. His research interests include the determinants and consequences of job loss, the recruitment decisions of firms over the business cycle, and the risks faced by the self-employed in the labor market. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Richard was an assistant professor at the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway. Richard received his Ph.D. in economics from University College London. He also holds a BA in politics, economics, and history and an MSc in economics, both from Sciences Po Paris.
