Louphou Coulibaly is a research economist in International Studies. His research interests include international economics, macroeconomics, and monetary economics. His recent work studies optimal monetary policy responses to tariffs, the global implications of nationally oriented monetary policy in a financially integrated world, and the role of capital flows during global inflation surges. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Louphou was an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Montreal.
