David Lucca is an Assistant Vice President in the Research and Statistics Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he has worked since 2011. His main responsibilities include leading the macroeconomic judgmental forecasting team, updating Bank leadership on economic developments, and providing monetary policy advice. David also advises other areas of the Bank on financial modeling, especially in the context of the Fed MBS portfolio. David’s research focuses on asset pricing, financial intermediation and banking supervision. His research has been recognized with the 2015 Amundi Smith Breeden Prize for best paper in the Journal of Finance. Prior to joining the Bank, David was an economist at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. David holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University.
