New York Fed to Host Fed Listens Discussion in Schenectady, New York on June 23

June 17, 2025

NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host a Fed Listens roundtable discussion on Monday, June 23, 2025. This event will include business and community leaders, and the discussion will focus on the effects that labor market conditions, inflation, and interest rates have on them. Attendees will participate in the discussion with Adriana Kugler, Governor of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and John C. Williams, President and CEO of the New York Fed.

In November 2024, the Federal Reserve announced its periodic review of its monetary policy strategy, tools, and communications—the framework it uses to pursue its Congressionally assigned goals of maximum employment and price stability. An important pillar of the 2025 framework review is the ongoing Fed Listens initiative.

During Fed Listens events, policymakers engage with a wide range of organizations—employee groups and union members, small business owners, residents of low- and moderate-income communities, workforce development organizations and community colleges, retirees, and others—to hear about how monetary policy affects people’s daily lives and livelihoods. These events provide valuable feedback on monetary policy.

The Fed Listens roundtable discussion on June 23 will take place at SUNY Schenectady Community College, as part of President Williams’s regional visit to Albany and New York’s Capital Region. This event is open to media to attend via livestream.

Additional information regarding the New York Fed’s Fed Listens events is available on the website.
