Leonardo Elias is a financial research economist in Macrofinance Studies within the Financial Stability Policy Research Division. His research focuses on understanding the interactions between global financial markets and local credit conditions. More generally, he studies various topics in the intersection between macroeconomics and finance. He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from MIT, a M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a B.Sc. in Economics from MIT.
