Treasury and Federal Reserve Foreign Exchange Operations: Quarterly Reports
The following quarterly reports describe the foreign exchange operations of the New York Fed. The New York Fed conducts foreign exchange (FX) transactions for the System Open Market Account (SOMA), as directed by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), and, as directed by the U.S. Treasury, in its capacity as fiscal agent of the United States for the Exchange Stabilization Fund (ESF).
