Ozge Akinci’s research interests include the quantification of sources of business cycle fluctuations in open economies, boom-bust cycles in credit and asset prices, and determinants of capital flows and sudden stops. Her recent work focuses on the use of dynamic general equilibrium models as tools for analyzing the consequences of financial market disruptions.
Martín Almuzara specializes in time series econometrics, panel data econometrics, and macroeconomics. He is engaged in the study of latent variable models for time series and panel data, with particular applications to business cycle analysis and distributional macroeconomic questions.
Mary Amiti is the head of Labor and Product Market Studies within the Monetary Policy Research Division. Mary Amiti's research interests include trade finance, the effects of trade liberalization on productivity, wages, the wage skill premium, and product quality.
Richard Audoly's research interests include the determinants and consequences of job loss, the recruitment decisions of firms over the business cycle, and the risks faced by the self-employed in the labor market.
Nina Boyarchenko is the head of Macrofinance Studies within the Financial Stability Policy Research Division. Her research interests are in financial stability, macrofinance, asset pricing, and financial economics.
Richard Crump works in the fields of econometric theory, finance, and macroeconomics. His research interests include semiparametric and nonparametric models, time series econometrics, empirical asset pricing including yield curve modeling and analysis, and the study of expectations formation.

Marco Del Negro is the Director of the Applied Macroeconomics and Econometrics Center. His research ranges from applied econometrics to the use of general equilibrium macro models in forecasting and policy analysis. He coedits the Journal of Applied Econometrics.
Julian di Giovanni’s work lies at the intersection of international economics and macroeconomics. His current research focuses on the international transmission of shocks and the role of firms and production linkages.

Keshav Dogra pursues research on topics including the interaction between monetary policy and hysteresis, the costs and benefits of increasing government debt in a low interest rate environment, and the implications of heterogeneity for macroeconomic dynamics and optimal policy.
Leonardo Elias's research focuses on understanding the interactions between global financial markets and local credit conditions. More generally, he studies various topics in the intersection between macroeconomics and finance.
Sebastian Heise’s research interests include the macroeconomics of the labor market and international trade. His recent work has examined the dynamics of long-term firm-to-firm relationships, the pass-through of wage shocks into prices, and the evolution of market concentration.
Danial Lashkari's research studies different long-run drivers of economic change, including the innovation activity of firms, technological breakthroughs, transformations in the consumption patterns of households, and globalization.
Donggyu Lee pursues research on topics including the distributional consequences of conventional and unconventional monetary policies, the implications of household heterogeneity on wage and employment determination in the labor market and the interactions between inequality and firm dynamics.
Davide Melcangi’s primary research interests include firm and household heterogeneity in macroeconomics. His research studies the effects of firm-level financial frictions on saving and hiring decisions, heterogeneity in household responses to fiscal stimulus, and the interaction between monetary policy and inequality.

Silvia Miranda-Aggrippino's research focuses on the use of empirical methods to study the propagation of monetary policy and other macroeconomic shocks, and drivers and consequences of domestic and global cycles.
Jeremy Pearce's research is in macroeconomics, where he combines micro-data and theoretical models to understand firm dynamics, productivity, innovation, and economic growth.
Paolo Pesenti, the policy lead for monetary policy at the New York Fed, specializes in international macroeconomics and finance. His research interests include global spillovers in a low interest rate world, the economics of crises and contagion, and the international dimensions of optimal monetary policy.
Katerina Petrova's research focuses on both theoretical and applied aspects of time series data analysis, macroeconometrics, and financial econometrics, as well as computational methods.
Argia Sbordone is a macroeconomist with a current research focus on monetary policy and inflation dynamics. Her other work has examined productivity fluctuations, wage and price dynamics, and inflation persistence.
Rachel Schuh's research interests include gender inequality in the labor market and the interplay between innovation, worker outcomes, and firm performance.
Giorgio Topa's primary research interests include applied microeconomics, labor economics, and applied econometrics. More specifically, he has been studying models of networks and local interactions, as well as devising econometric tools for the empirical implementation of such models.
Jacob Weber's research focuses on understanding the role that investment plays in the transmission of monetary policy to the broader economy, and how that role has changed over time.
John Williams is a policymaker and macroeconomist whose academic research focuses on monetary policy under uncertainty, business cycles, and innovation. Recent work includes a study of the differential effect of short- and long-term unemployment on inflation and its implications for monetary policy and an exploration of trends and determinants influencing the natural rate of interest. He has written widely on monetary policy tools and implementation strategies.
